Match Reports

Man Utd 1 - 0 Fulham

Facing Manchester United away was always going to be a tough challenge for Marco Silva’s team, but the Whites were just minutes away from securing a hard-fought draw after their 2-1 win at Old Trafford last season.

Confirmed Transfers In

Sander Berge

Out of nowhere in true Tony Khan style, Fulham seem to have signed Sander Berge from Burnley for £20m + £5m in add-ons. This signing seems to spell the end of Fulham's pursuit of Scott McTominay who was originally considered the preferred option

Read out thoughts on Sander Berge

Joachim Andersen

Another returning player who is all but confirmed as signed is Joachim Andersen who Fulham have been pursuing for the last few weeks. With a deal worth around £30m agreed and personal terms unlikely to be an issue, the return of a ball playing defender to replace Issa Diop hugely improves the 1st team and adds further depth to the squad.

Confirmed Transfers Out

Willian

Willian has finally ended his time at Fulham officially, announcing his departure from the club after his contract expired and with interest from Saudi we expect he'll join Mitro in the Middle East for a final pay day before his career ends. We took a punt on Willian after his torrid spells at Arsenal and in Brazil but we got the absolute best out of the Brazilian in his 2 years at the club and the memories will last for a lifetime. Thank you Willian, you will be sorely missed!

Luke Harris

Luke Harris followed Jay Stansfield's move last season and will hone his craft at Birmingham City on loan for the 24/25 season. Luke has always been in and around the 1st Team Squad but has failed to make an impact as of yet. At just 19 there's still a long way to go for Luke and 1st team football will be key to his continued growth. He's already made his mark too, playing in all 3 games for Birmingham so far and scoring against Wycombe on the weekend. Best of luck for the season!

Harvey Araujo

Harvey Araujo joins Devan Tanton at Chesterfield on loan for the 24/25 season. With almost 100 appearances for the U18s and U21s, this is Harvey's first loan move and he's already made his debut, coming on as a 2nd half sub in Chesterfields 5-0 win against Crewe. Good luck Harvey!

With the signing of Joachim Andersen it's very likely that Fulham will now not be chasing further reinforcement at CB which all but ends our pursuit of Joe Gomez and Diego Carlos unless there are some further twists and turns to come. There have been some interesting links to another former player in Matt Targett who Fulham may consider making a loan approach for before the end of the window. Does this link mean there's some background interest in Antonee Robinson?

The André saga rolls on for another week and it appears Fulham still haven't returned with an improved offer. It's expected that this will go right to the end of the window as both sides are locked in a standoff. It's likely that Fluminense's result in the Copa Libertadores will have an affect on a potential sale.

There are still some tenuous links for players such as Bae Jun-ho from Stoke, Wesley Gassova from Corinthians, Federico Chiesa from Juventus and recently 17yr old left back Pedro Gabrial from Gremio but none of these have any solid foundation are can be purely considered late window chatter at this stage.

There's certainly more work to be done by Fulham in the window and, with The Khans in town, we should fully expect a flurry of activity this week, hopefully culminating in signings before the visit of Leicester to Craven Cottage this weekend.

Jay Stansfield is now attracting interest from Blackburn, with a fee of somewhere between £8-10m likely to be the asking price. Blackburn will be hoping replace Sammie Szmodics after his move to Ipswich and Stanno would fit the bill.

Carlos Vinicius was linked to Corinthians last week and now a bid has been recieved from Las Palmas for the Brazilian striker. Having not featured at all during preseason Vini is out the door and, although we won't receive a huge fee, getting him off our books will be financially beneficial in the long run.

Kevin Mbabu appears likely to move on from Fulham and, despite a lack of concrete transfer links, we fully expect he'll be out the door before the end of the window.
